Brownies from scratch

Brownies from scratch recipe

Just a heads-up—this isn’t one of those fancy chef blogs. It’s all about sharing the recipes from our Facebook group, straight from moms and grandmas who’ve been making them for years. No long stories here—just simple, honest recipes, shared exactly how they’re posted in the group. It’s like your mom texting you her go-to dishes right after you got married, when the kitchen still felt like uncharted territory!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: What size pan do you use?
A: I use a 9×13 pan.

Q: Bake for 50 minutes? I’m assuming they are thicker than a store-bought box mix. That’s twice as long as I bake a box. Just wondering.
A: Yes, they are way thicker, and they came out fine! 😉 The pics are proof, lol. Everyone’s oven may be different. 😍

Q: Can I substitute the brown sugar for another 3/4 cup of white sugar?
A: I would think so! Brown sugar is just white sugar with molasses. 🙂

Q: Could you use self-rising flour instead?
A: I don’t think so, only because there are no rising agents added to these. 🙂
