Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix

Ingredients
  

  • - 2 cans peach pie filling
  • - 3 ripe peaches peeled & sliced
  • - 1 box yellow cake mix
  • - 7 oz lemon-lime soda Sprite, 7Up, or ginger ale
  • - 1 stick butter cut into pads
  • - Cinnamon to taste

Instructions
 

  • - Line Dutch oven with aluminum pie pan and grease lightly.
  • - Pour in peach pie filling and mix with fresh peaches. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • - Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over peaches. Do not stir.
  • - Slowly pour soda over cake mix. Do not stir.
  • - Place butter pads evenly on top.
  • - Cover with lid, place coals on top and bottom, and bake ~50 mins until golden.

Notes

- Rotate Dutch oven during cooking to prevent burning.
- Substitute other fruits and cake mixes for variety.
- Store leftovers in fridge up to 4 days.
