A glass baking dish filled with bubbly, golden brown peach cobbler dump cake featuring a buttery crust over sweet fruit filling.

Easy 3-Ingredient Peach Cobbler Dump Cake

Zero effort, maximum comfort! This incredibly easy Peach Cobbler Dump Cake requires only 3 ingredients and bakes up beautifully bubbly and golden every single time.

Ingredients

  • 2 29 oz cans Sliced peaches in heavy syrup (Do not drain)
  • 1 15.25 oz box Yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup Unsalted butter 1.5 sticks, cold and sliced thinly
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch glass or ceramic baking dish.
  • Pour the entire contents of both cans of peaches (including the heavy syrup) directly into the baking dish. Spread them into an even layer.
  • If using cinnamon, sprinkle it evenly over the peaches.
  • Open the box of dry yellow cake mix and sprinkle it evenly over the entire layer of peaches. Do not stir! Gently pat it down to level it out.
  • Place the thin slices of cold butter evenly across the entire surface of the dry cake mix, covering as much of the powder as possible.
  • Bake uncovered on the center rack for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the filling is vigorously bubbling and the top crust is a deep golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Never stir the ingredients in the pan, or the cake will become gummy instead of creating a crisp crust.
If you have dry patches of cake mix after baking, you did not distribute the butter evenly. For best results, you can freeze your butter and grate it over the top of the mix.
Store leftovers covered tightly in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
