Ingredients
* 2 Tbsp butter

* 2 cups all‑purpose flour
* ²/₃ cup sugar
* 4 tsp baking powder
* 1 cup milk

29‑oz can sliced peaches, drained (reserve syrup)
* ¾ cup sugar

* 1 cup warmed peach syrup
Instructions
# Preheat oven 350 °F. Melt 2 Tbsp butter in 9×13 dish.
# Whisk flour, ²⁄₃ cup sugar, baking powder. Stir in milk.
# Pour batter over butter; top with peach slices. Sprinkle ¾ cup sugar.
# Warm 1 cup syrup; drizzle over top; add a few butter pats.
# Bake 40 min until golden and toothpick in cakey part comes out clean.
# Cool 15 min; serve warm.
Notes
* Use two 15‑oz cans peaches if 29‑oz unavailable.
* Replace topping sugar with cinnamon sugar for spice.
