Homemade Heart-Shaped Pop Tarts

Ingredients
  

  • - 2 refrigerated pie crusts
  • - Strawberry jam
  • - 1 egg
  • - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • - 2 tbsp milk
  • - 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • - 1 drop red food coloring
  • - Sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut hearts from pie crust.
  • Place jam in center of half the hearts.
  • Brush edges with egg wash. Seal with top heart. Crimp edges.
  • Poke holes in top. Brush with egg wash.
  • Bake 10–12 minutes. Cool.
  • Mix icing. Spread on cooled pop tarts. Top with sprinkles.

Notes

- Customize with different fillings.
- Store airtight up to 2 days or refrigerate 5 days.
- Freeze unbaked pop tarts up to 2 months.
