Homemade Philly Cheesesteak Skillet Recipe (Cast Iron Style)

Ingredients
- 3 lbs london broil or tip roast
sliced thin
- 1 large onion
sliced
- 3 bell peppers
sliced
- 8–16 oz mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp beef bouillon
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 8 oz cheese slices
- Hoagie rolls for serving
Instructions
Sauté onions, peppers, mushrooms in beef fat or oil; set aside.
Add beef to skillet, season with bouillon, salt, pepper. Cover with water.
Boil then simmer 1–2 hours until tender.
Return veggies, simmer 10 minutes.
Layer cheese slices on top, cover to melt.
Serve on toasted hoagie rolls.
Notes
- Simmer longer for tender beef.
- Try provolone or American cheese for variations.
