Homemade Philly Cheesesteak Skillet Recipe (Cast Iron Style)

Ingredients
  

  • - 3 lbs london broil or tip roast sliced thin
  • - 1 large onion sliced
  • - 3 bell peppers sliced
  • - 8–16 oz mushrooms
  • - 2 Tbsp beef bouillon
  • - Salt & pepper to taste
  • - 8 oz cheese slices
  • - Hoagie rolls for serving

Instructions
 

  • Sauté onions, peppers, mushrooms in beef fat or oil; set aside.
  • Add beef to skillet, season with bouillon, salt, pepper. Cover with water.
  • Boil then simmer 1–2 hours until tender.
  • Return veggies, simmer 10 minutes.
  • Layer cheese slices on top, cover to melt.
  • Serve on toasted hoagie rolls.

Notes

- Simmer longer for tender beef.
- Try provolone or American cheese for variations.
