Soft Vanilla Ice Cream Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Use a cold cookie sheet.
  • Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg, vanilla, and milk; mix until smooth.
  • Add flour and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cold, ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 6–9 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool before removing from the sheet.

Notes

Cookies brown quickly — keep an eye on them.
Batter should be soft; do not add extra flour.
Store in airtight container 3–4 days.
