- In a medium pot, combine tomatoes, water, bacon grease, bouillon, black pepper, pepper sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder. 
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. 
- Once boiling, remove from heat. 
- Add crushed saltines to the hot tomato mixture and stir gently. 
- Let sit for a few minutes while the crackers soften and thicken the mixture. 
- Spoon into bowls, top with more black pepper if desired, and enjoy with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
