Strawberry Upside Down Cake in Cast Iron Skillet

Ingredients
  

  • - 1/2 stick butter softened
  • - Brown sugar to coat skillet bottom
  • - Fresh strawberries sliced
  • - 1 box Betty Crocker Pineapple Supreme cake mix
  • - Ingredients listed on cake box eggs, oil, water

Instructions
 

  • Grease skillet with butter; coat with brown sugar.
  • Arrange strawberries over sugar.
  • Mix cake batter as directed on box.
  • Pour over strawberries.
  • Bake at 325°F for 35 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool 5 minutes, then invert onto platter.

Notes

- Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
