Great Grandma’s Texas Teacakes: A Family Favorite
This is the recipe for my great grandmother’s teacakes; I am a sixth generation Texan. I made these as a child, baked them with my daughter every Christmas, and this year I made them for the first time with my granddaughter! With a little glass my great grandmother gave me, I cut the cookies every year.
PS…My 13-year-old dog Chester, who was named for the Gunsmoke Chester because he had a damaged leg, always receives the first Christmas teacake. He looks forward to the initial batch every year.
