Biscuit Bread (Pone Bread)
A quick, three-ingredient Southern skillet bread with crispy crust and tender interior.

Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp bacon grease
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F with greased cast iron skillet.
Mix flour and buttermilk until just combined.
Pour into hot skillet; bake 15–17 min until golden.
Cool 5 min; slice and serve.
Notes
- Substitute yogurt for buttermilk.
- Add herbs or sugar for variation.
