Cast Iron Cheesy Beer Bread – Easy Skillet Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. canola oil
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp. dried parsley
- 1½ tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cups cheddar cheese

12 oz. beer
- 3 tbsp. butter
melted
Instructions
Pour oil into a 10-inch cast iron skillet. Place skillet in a cold oven and preheat to 450°F.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, parsley, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
Stir beer into flour mixture until just combined. Fold in cheese.
Remove hot skillet from oven. Spread batter evenly in skillet and smooth the top. Pour melted butter over the batter.
Bake for 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
- Use any cheese or herbs you like!
- Try brushing the finished bread with more melted butter and garlic powder for extra flavor.
- Freezes well.
