Sausage Hash Brown Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • - 8–10 hash brown rounds
  • - 1 lb ground sausage use ¾ of it
  • - 10 jumbo eggs
  • - ¼ cup milk
  • - 1 cup shredded cheese
  • - Salt & pepper to taste
  • - 1 tsp Italian seasoning optional
  • - Extra shredded cheese for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Bake hash brown rounds and line bottom/sides of skillet or baking dish.
  • Brown sausage, drain, and set aside.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, seasoning. Stir in sausage and 1 cup cheese.
  • Pour into skillet over hash browns.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until eggs are nearly set.
  • Add cheese on top, bake 5 more minutes until melted.
  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

- Can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight.
- Add veggies like bell peppers or spinach.
- Use any shredded potato or tater tots as base.
