A Heavenly Chuck Roast Dinner Recipe

 A Heavenly Chuck Roast Dinner Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 chuck roasts
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 ears of corn on the cob
  • Whole bag of large carrots (washed and cut)
  • Potatoes
  • Large onion
  • 1 jar of Pepperoncini with the juice
  • Stick of butter
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can of water
  • Beef au jus brown gravy mix (or substitute with a jar of Heinz savory gravy)
  • Bacon slices

Instructions:

 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the chuck roasts with salt and pepper.
  • Wash and cut the vegetables to your desired size, then arrange the corn, carrots, potatoes, and onion in a large baking dish.
  • Place the seasoned chuck roasts on top of the vegetables in the baking dish.
  • Pour the jar of Pepperoncini with the juice over the chuck roasts.
  • Dot the chuck roasts with butter.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with one can of water and the beef au jus brown gravy mix (or the substitute). Pour the mixture over the chuck roast.
  • Lay bacon slices on top of the roasts.
  • Wrap the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and cook for 4 hours without checking.
  • After 4 hours, take the dish out of the oven and carefully uncover.
  • Serve the chuck roast meal hot, letting the aromatic vegetables and delicate meat steal the show at the dinner table.
