Cinnamon Rolls

Instructions:

  1. Activate Yeast: Follow package instructions to activate yeast. Add the activated yeast to lukewarm milk (ensure milk is not too hot to avoid killing the yeast).
  2. Prepare Dough: In a stand mixer, thoroughly mix flour, eggs, salt, softened butter, and granulated sugar. Once mixed, switch to a dough hook attachment. Gradually add the yeast/milk mixture and continue mixing until dough forms.
  3. First Rise: Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
  4. Prepare Filling: While the dough is rising, mix together softened butter, packed brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and a splash of vanilla to create the filling.
  5. Roll Out Dough: Lightly flour a flat surface and roll out the dough to your desired thickness. Spread the prepared filling evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  6. Roll and Cut: Roll the dough vertically into a log. Use a sharp knife to cut the log into individual rolls.
  7. Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Optional Topping: If desired, sprinkle pecans on top of the rolls before baking.
  10. Bake: Uncover the rolls and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Prepare Glaze: While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and a splash of vanilla in a bowl. Adjust the amount of milk for your desired glaze consistency.
  12. Glaze and Serve: Once the rolls are baked and slightly cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top. Serve warm and enjoy!

These homemade cinnamon rolls are irresistibly delicious and perfect for breakfast or dessert. Enjoy!
