Classic Hobo Dinners: Hamburger Patties and Veggies
Hobo Dinner with Hamburger Patties
ingredient
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 4 small potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s seasoning
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 1 large (or 2 small) onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon powdered garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Condensed mushroom soup
instruction
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, add the ground beef, Tony Chachere’s seasoning, and dry soup mix.
- Shape into four patties and set aside.
- Put everything else—aside from the mushroom soup—in a large bowl.
- Toss well to combine.
- Spray a 12 by 18-inch sheet of foil with nonstick cooking spray.
- Center ¼ of the veggie mixture on the foil.
- Top with one hamburger patty.
- Cover each patty with two tablespoons of condensed mushroom soup.
- Seal the foil packs well.
- Arrange them meat-side up on a large baking sheet.
- Bake for an hour, or until the carrots and potatoes are soft.
