Buttermilk Pie recipe

Buttermilk Pie recipeĀ 

My first time making a Buttermilk Pie. My my – it is so delicious to me. Didn’t get a picture prior to Hubs cutting him a slice warm and right out of the oven. šŸ¤£

Ingredients:

  • 1 (9-inch) Pie Crust – Unbaked
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350Ā°F.
  2. Mix together eggs, granulated sugar, flour, melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla, lemon juice, and salt until well-combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool prior to slicing.

Storage:

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • We heat it up in the microwave just a few seconds when ready to eat another slice as we donā€™t like it cold. Enjoy!
