Tomato Goulash Delight with Easy Homemade Biscuits
I had so many tomatoes that they started to go bad, so I decided to make tomato goulash and homemade biscuits. The tomato goulash is simple but delicious. Here’s the way I do it

Ingredients:
- 4 or 5 pieces of bacon, cut into lardons or thin strips
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 large garlic clove, diced
- 4 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 cup of dill pickle juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Cut 4 or 5 pieces of bacon into lardons or thin strips and let it start to brown.
- Add 1 medium chopped onion and 1 large garlic clove diced and sauté until translucent and fragrant.
- Next, add 4 large tomatoes chopped, about 1/4 cup of dill pickle juice (don’t skip the pickle juice).
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook until the dish comes together and the liquid has mostly evaporated, about 15 minutes.
- Spoon the tomato goulash over homemade biscuits.
Homemade Biscuits 2-Ingredient Biscuits
Ingredients:
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 500°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of self-rising flour and 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream.
- Stir the ingredients together until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently a few times to bring it together.
- Roll or pat the dough to a thickness of about 1 inch.
- Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out biscuits from the dough.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Bake the biscuits at 500°F for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
