spaghetti Style Yakisoba

spaghetti Style Yakisoba

I’d like to give you this food or recipe! When I was in the US Army for 24 years, they served yakisoba in the mess hall a lot of the time (but not in the traditional Japanese way). It is still one of my favorite meals. It’s so cheap and easy to make, and I like it better than spaghetti any day. You’ll understand when you try it.

Here is the recipe.

10 servings

  •  1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 box of spaghetti noodles I use a one pound box of spaghetti.
  • 1 onion, about
  • 1 small green bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • One cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch

What to Do

  • Follow the directions on the package to cook the spaghetti noodles while you work on the rest
  • of the meal. (Before heating, cut your spaghetti in half and then in half again.)
  • Make the ground beef brown. Get rid of any extra oil. Put it back in the pan.
  • When the pan is hot, add the ground ginger, soy sauce, half of the water, chopped onions, and chopped bell pepper.
  • Mix the cornstarch into the rest of the water, then add it to the meat mixture.
  • For about 10 to 15 minutes, cook the mix. If you want the greens to be softer, cook them for longer.
  • Once the noodles are done cooking and dried, add them to the meat mixture. Toss it well and smile as you serve.
  • You can make this dish even better by adding to it. Color it up with red and yellow bell peppers or chop up a bunch of green onions and serve it.
  • Make it your own by playing with it.
