  • 2 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, softly whisked
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 to 6 bacon slices (number of slices depends on size of pan)

Prep Your Skillet
  1. Grab your skillet and get it ready for some bacon magic.
  2. Choose the number of bacon slices based on your pan size.
Mixing the Cornbread Batter

Gather Your Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, mix together:
    • 2 cups yellow cornmeal
    • 1/3 cup flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 2 cups milk

Mix Until Smooth:

Cooking the Cornbread
