Peach Cobbler in Cast Iron Skillet
I don’t have a ‘REAL’ recipe. My Mom always made this & I learned from her. I have been making this for about 40 yrs. and it is sooo good! Hope you like it as well as I do! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of butter
 - 4 cans (15.25 oz each) peaches in heavy syrup (juice too)
 - 1 cup self-rising flour
 - 1 cup sugar
 - 1 cup milk
 - Optional: Cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling

Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
 - In a hot oven, melt 1 stick of butter (in skillet).
 - Add 4 cans of peaches (in heavy syrup, juice too) to melted butter in skillet.
 - In a bowl, mix 1 cup self-rising flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk. Stir til batter is smooth.
 - Pour batter all over the top of peaches. Do not stir. The crust rises to the top as the cobbler bakes.
 - Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes.
 - Sometimes I sprinkle a little cinnamon & sugar on top of the cobbler when I take it out of the oven. This one I did not.
 - This Peach Cobbler was made in a #12 Cast Iron Skillet.
