Cast Iron Cheesy Beer Bread
Equipment:
10” Cast Iron Skillet
Ingredients:
· 2 tbsp. Canola Oil
· 2½ cups All-Purpose Flour
· 2 tbsp. Dried Parsley
· 1½ tsp. Garlic Powder
· 2 tbsp. Sugar
· 4 tsp. Baking Powder
· 1 tsp. Salt
· 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
· 1 (12 oz.) Beer
· 3 tbsp. Butter, melted
Instructions:
- Into a 10-inch cast iron skillet, add oil. Set skillet in a cold oven and heat to 450°F.
- Combine in a bowl flour, parsley, sugar, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
- Stir flour mixture into beer until almost blended. Toss in the cheese.
- Remove pan from oven after it has been prepared, put batter into it, and smooth top. Over batter, drizzle melted butter.
- Bake until a toothpick put into the middle comes out clean, 25 minutes.
- Before cutting and serving, let bread cool for five minutes.
Notations: - I drank Michelob Ultra beer.
- Suitable for any kind of cheese.
- Please feel free to add more garlic powder and melted butter to the fried bread.
