Vanilla Sprinkle Cookies and Savory Pork Roast Recipe

Vanilla Sprinkle Cookies recipe :
Ingredients
- 2 C all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 C unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/2 C powdered sugar
- 1/4 C oil (vegetable oil)
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- A tad bit of almond extract
- 1 cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together butter, oil, sugar, and powdered sugar until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Add egg and vanilla extract and beat to combine.
- Add dry ingredients and mix just until dough comes together. Dough will be very soft.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and adjust oven racks to upper and lower middle positions.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Fill a shallow bowl with sprinkles.
- Use a cookie scoop or rounded teaspoonfuls to form cookies into balls.
- Roll each ball in sprinkles to cover and place on cookie sheets.
- Bake until cookies are golden at the edges, about 20 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Pork Roast with Potatoes and Carrots:
Ingredients
- Pork roast
- Potatoes
- Carrots
- Part of an envelope of onion soup mix
- Chicken broth
Instructions:
- Place pork roast in a crock pot with part of an envelope of onion soup mix, a little chicken broth, and the carrots.
- Put on high for a couple of hours thenĀ turn to low and add cut up potato and celery.
- Let cook on low until done.
