moist Meatloaf Recipe
I didn’t like meatloaf growing up. Now that I get to control the spices and keep it moist I love making meatloaf. Esp meatloaf sandwiches the next day!
Ingredients:
- Ground beef
- 1 piece of white bread
- Milk
- Ritz crackers (broken up) or bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Cajun seasoning
- Seasoning salt
- Dried parsley
- Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh cilantro
- Chopped or shredded onion
- A pat of room temperature butter
- Cooking spray
For the Sauce:
- Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce with cayenne OR
- Ketchup mixed with brown sugar, cayenne, and garlic powder
Instructions:
- I get a big mixing bowl and put my ground beef in.
- Put a piece of white bread and pour a little milk on it just to absorb the milk.
- Add some Ritz crackers broken up or bread crumbs.
- Add an egg.
- Add some olive oil over.
- Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, seasoning salt, dried parsley,
- Worcestershire sauce, fresh cilantro, and chopped or shredded onion.
- Add a pat of room temperature butter.
- Mix thoroughly with hands. Check to see if it’s too wet; if it is, add more crumbs.
- Shape and place on aluminum that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake at 350°F until done I look to see whether it’s becoming overly dry.
- I finish by drizzling my sauce over it, either sweet baby ray’s with some cayenne
- alternatively ketchup combined with brown sugar, cayenne, and garlic powder.
- Savour your superb meatloaf.
